Supercar Ecosse Charity Event
8th and 9th September 2012

Supercar Ecosse are delighted to invite owners of the below listed Supercars & Sports Cars, to participate in this exciting and unique charity event. As we are limited to 50 places they will be allocated on a strictly first come, first served basis.

We have organised this 2 day charity event, for the sole purpose of raising money for both ‘Help for Heroes’ and ‘Macmillan Cancer Support’ and are also arranging for several rehabilitating Military Personnel and Macmillan Nurses, to join us all for the weekend, as our guests.

On the same weekend, Knockhill Racing Circuit are hosting the Scottish Speedfair and Classic Festival both of which are incorporated into this fantastic weekend of events.

SATURDAY 8th September 2012

1st Venue - Knockhill Racing Circuit – Arrive 0900

All participants to meet up at Knockhill Racing Circuit’s Rannoch Lodge, all our cars will be parked together. On arrival bacon rolls, tea and coffee will be available. We will depart Knockhill promptly at 1000 to enjoy the rest of the day’s Charity Event.

2nd Venue - Scottish Military Personal Recovery Unit – Arrive 1030

We will travel in convoy to the Scottish Military Personnel Recovery Unit (PRU) to meet some of our Wounded & Injured Service Personnel (WIS) and their Families. The PRU’s Commanding Officer, Lt Colonel Mark Steed will share with us the role of the PRU within the Military, after which we can interact with these guys and also show them our Supercars & Sports Cars.

We’re sure that after taking part in this exceptionally humbling experience you will also know why Help for Heroes is one of our two chosen charity causes.

On departure we will also take 6 WIS personnel along in our passenger seats so they too can enjoy the remainder of the day’s event!

At 1230 a Fife Constabulary Police Patrol Car/Motorcycle will lead and escort our convoy from the PRU to their Headquarters in Glenrothes, which is approximately a 40 minute drive.


3rd Venue – Fife Constabulary Police Headquarters – Arrive 1315

On arrival at the Police Headquarters, it has been arranged that the Police Dog Handlers will display their dogs in both agility and tracking skills. They will also be demonstrating several other skills, including ‘Criminal Work’ and Drugs/Explosives search skills.

Furthermore, Fife Constabulary Road Policing Department will display one of their Patrol Cars and will be available to answer questions regarding their role.

There will also be an Armed Response Vehicle and Crew present to give a tour of their vehicle and the various armaments and equipment that they carry.

It is expected that there will be media from both Scottish Television News and the Press to document the arrival of the convoy of vehicles and our subsequent events.

Tea and Coffee will be provided during our visit, which is expected to finish at around 1445.

4th Venue – Fairmont St. Andrews – Arrive 1630

When we depart Fife Constabulary Police Headquarters we will drive in convoy along the Fife Coast, via the fishing villages of Pittenweem and Anstruther to arrive at the prestigious 5 Star Fairmont St Andrews, where we have arranged exclusive parking and a private entrance to the Robert Burns Ballroom. There will be a selection of Supercars on display within the Robert Burns Ballroom, as well as sandwiches, teas, coffees and petit fours to assist everyone to relax and enjoy a chat at the end of this exciting and memorable day. We will also be joined by our Events Sponsors and other VIP Guests.

If you wish to stay overnight we have also secured discounted room rates in an Eden View Room of £179.00 B&B at this world famous 5 Star Luxury hotel, this is 36% off rack rate. Supercar Ecosse will be staying overnight and look forward to seeing many of you there. We will also lead a convoy at 0830 on the morning of Sunday 9th September to Knockhill.

SUNDAY 9th September 2012

Venue - Knockhill Racing Circuit for the Scottish Speedfair & Classic Festival – Arrive 0900

All participants to meet up at Knockhill by 0900, we will again be hosted at Knockhill’s Rannoch Lodge & will enjoy the same parking. Bacon rolls, tea and coffee will again be provided upon arrival.

The rest of the day is left free for you all to enjoy the racing events & numerous displays of the day. Incorporated in this will be an opportunity for our group to take part in a Paddock Tour & also enjoy Parade Laps of the Racing Circuit, subject to event incidents and timing.

Entry Fee

The entry fee for this 2 day Charity Event will be £100 per car; however we would certainly welcome a higher donation if you wish. We are also delighted for passengers to attend the event, with a minimum donation of £50 per passenger.

We will be asking 12 participants to come along without passengers on the Saturday so that our Wounded & Injured Service Personnel and Macmillan Nurses can enjoy a terrific day out with us all.
